GBRUtah.com was started in 1992 by myself — Bill Davis. I bought my first Land Rover in 1976 — a 1960 Series 2 88″ which I incidentally still own. We have two divisions — parts and service.

Parts

We specialize in Land Rover products that have a special emphasis on durability, reliability and performance; specifically Land Rover power train, as well as suspension and brakes.

Shop Service

In addition we provide expert maintenance and service for all models of Land Rover in the local Salt Lake City area. If you live somewhere other than Utah, we can provide major mechanical and performance upgrade packages. We can also arrange the pickup and transport of your Land Rover to our facility from anywhere in the country. The direct number for our service department is (801) 503-2683.

We have been Land Rover enthusiasts and avid off roaders for 30 plus years in some of the most rugged and remote areas of the western United States. Maybe we are spoiled because as you can see from the map, we are located in the heart of some of the most challenging and spectacular off roading on the planet. We have also seen and experienced first hand some of the mechanical short comings of our beloved Land Rovers under the most arduous conditions. Our experience has proven to us that it is possible to significantly improve the durability, reliability and performance of Land Rovers both on and off the road; while at the same time retaining their unique character.

Power train is our thing — axles, differentials, gears, transfer cases, driveshafts, remanufactured components etc. We carry many products to upgrade these systems along with numerous other products to enhance your off-road experience. We design and manufacture our own branded line of products; in addition, we also distribute the highest quality components from some of the best known companies in the 4 Wheel Drive industry. Our goal is to assist you in building the Land Rover of your dreams!

GBR Staff

Bill Davis — Bill started the company in 1992 and is currently majority owner. He bought his first Land Rover in 1976, a 1960 Series 2 88, which he incidentally still owns. Bill has probably owned a hundred Land Rovers over the years and currently has over twenty. He has been a “car guy” since before he had a drivers license and in deference to his advancing age we won’t mention how long that has been! He has experience in American Muscle cars and British sports cars as well; another notable Land Rover experience includes starting the Land Rover National Rally in 1989. The baton was passed to the Solihull Society in 1992 and the event still continues to this day.

Shawn Davis – Bill’s daughter and Girl Friday of GBR. She is the cheery voice that frequently answers the phone when you call. She obviously has Land Rover in her blood.

Tom Griggs – Tom is the manager of our service department. He has many years of Land Rover experience. He worked for a LR dealership and achieved a silver certification. In addition, he worked for an independent service facility for several years before coming to GBR.

We also have a remanufacturing facility. Our manager has over twenty five years of hands on experience building, rebuilding and remanufacturing drive shafts, differentials, transmissions and transfer cases.
